Check in with your son first before possibly increasing the shame he may already feel due to bullying. Before impulsively telling him to fight the bully, talk to him about how

he wants to go about dealing with the situation. Remember: he doesn't want to feel like he let you down or you are disappointed in him. This isn't about you, it's about your son needing your help without judgement. Be there for him.
